CDR (R) Muhammad Banaras started his career with the Pakistan Navy when he got commissioned in 1987 upon completion of rigorous training and education at PN Junior Cadet College followed by Pakistan Naval Academy. After serving in the Navy for 25 years in various exemplary posts, like Commander Training at HQs COMKAR, Director Technical Maritime Security Agency, Deputy Chief Inspector Naval Stores, Manager Mechanical Transport, etc, he retired in July 2012. CDR Banaras went on to serve in academia at the prestigious National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) for the next 9 years by heading the Monitoring Cell Postgraduate/PhD Programmes.

Mr. Banaras is a highly qualified Mechanical Engineer, specializing in Marine Engineering followed by serving onboard PN warships as Marine Engineer Officer. He has multiple Masters’s degrees in subjects like HRM, Petroleum as well as an Executive MBA degree. He has vast experience of 35 years in the fields of Management, Administration, Training, Human Resources Management, Capacity Building, Monitoring, Audits, and Quality Control.
